Jim was admitted to the bar in 1981 in New Mexico.  He received his education from the University of New Mexico where he got his B.B.A. in Accounting and his J.D. in 1981.  He served as a member of the Curry County Treasurer from 1983-1984, and President 1984-1985. He is also a member of the American Bar Associations, State Bar of New Mexico and New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association. He is BV Peer Review Rated.
